The wiring was an issue, there were no directions. Two thicker wires (grey and black) for pump-factory has same colors.. Two smaller wires(purple and black with white stripe) for fuel level sending unit-factory has 2 purple wires so I don't think it matters which way they go. I spent some time looking at my factory pump's wiring and it became easy to understand. The new wiring plug would hit the large metal pins on my locking ring so I cut them off. The new pump is identical to my factory pump and just as quiet. It works so far (1/2 hour). Fuel gauge works now. Installed in a 2004 Buick Century, from the trunk, I pulled the rear seat and loosened the seat belt plate to free up the trunk rug. Consider buying new fuel line clips, they are easy to lose/break. UPDATE: I have lost most AM radio reception. It's a quiet pump, and no "buzzing" on the radio, just lost all but the strongest stations unless I turn off the motor.

It installed easily because GM had the foresight to put an access cover plate in the trunk and worked like OEM equipment

It worked great for me the only issue I have is if not confident in doing the wire harness you might want ask someone that knows it didn't come with instructions as to which wire goes where me personally I have been doing this along Time no big deal with me but the things I would recommend don't use the butt connectors it comes with if going that route go get some shrink wrap water proof connectors so they stay secure or just solderer them like I did please be careful around the fuel tank don't blow your self up and if use the connector route go get something to hold those wires in place I got some clips to hold them secure drilled small hole bolt nut lock washer hold those clip secure you don't want the wires moving around pulling out of them out of the butt connectors would be my recommendation if not sure find someone that does so you don't cause yourself unnecessary problems with it and depending on the vehicle the hold down plate fore the pump assembly has 2 knobs on it cut them off or get a new hold plate but works great so far those only issue I see with no paper for the wiring diagram instructions but for me it wasn't a problem

Fit perfectly! Did come as shown. It did become brand new and on time. No complaints so far. The harness you may need a wire stripper to get to wires.

I installed this fuel pump but it seams to not be working, the one I removed worked better than this one. Don’t know what to do, any suggestions

Pump is great! The kit needs two improvements. It would be great if it came with the plastic clips for the fuel lines so if you accidentally break one getting it off the original and be S.O.L.. I was able to successfully remove mine, but it would have been better just to replace them with new. Lastly, the splice-in new plug is twice the size of the original plug, which has to fit through the steel hold-down ring's two "dummy" posts. The posts are only there to keep you from installing the ring upside down... because the new plug is so large, I had to pull the whole thing back out of the vehicle, and use an angle grinder with cut-off wheel to remove the two "dummy" posts. I also did not like having to splice in a new plug having only 2 inches of stock wire available to work with. The new plug comes with plenty of wire, but also introduces another failure point when splicing wires. If you are not scared of making those corrections, this pump is otherwise great!
