i normally wear gold toe socks, because for some reason , i have a tendency to go through the toe parts easily. are these socks reinforced well?

I've worn these for 12-hr shifts (as a nurse) throughout the year for over 2 years now and the toes are still intact. I bought 2 pairs: 1 black and 1 navy. The navy pair is still intact; however, 1 black sock had a hole at the heel after 2 yrs of use. The knee end still holds up as well as it did on day one. At the beginning, they were a little hard to pull up on the feet following the directions, because I was always putting them on in a hurry, but the more I used them, the easier and faster it was for me to put them on. The graduated pressure feels the same from top to bottom up to this day; thus, it has done its work from day one.  I use it also for long drives and plane trips, and my legs are comfortable after these long trips. I've bought less expensive brands that promise the same functions as Sigvaris, but after a couple months and few washes, they don't fit the same anymore. My Sigvaris socks feel even better today after almost 3 years of wear, and the colors and pressure effects are unchanged.  Sometimes I even sleep with them because they are that comfortable. The support they give adds energy and prevents any swelling after my long shifts which I used to have before Sigvaris.

What is the fabric content? Is there poly in them. Lycra?

I can't help you with the fabric. It doesn't say on the socks. What I can tell you is that I work 12-13-hour shifts as a busy critical care nurse. I used to have some feet swelling at the end of my shift. These socks relieved that problem and they give me enough support throughout my shift. They are so snug fit and comfortable that I sometimes fall asleep in them after working 13 hrs in them.

my current sigvaris stockings ar size LL, I don't see that size on the Amazon site, can you help please?

Don't think I can help. My sigvaris stockings were in a woman's size. Ordering page listed a letter code and a corresponding shoe-size range. I know the brand is available on other sites; don't know about sizes. Perhaps the Sigvaris site provides more sizing info. Sorry I can't be of more help.
